The first time we had a chance to try Bites Café’s wholesome menu, we thought it couldn’t get any better than that.

We thought wrong, obviously.

The new menu puts an exciting spin on their crowd favourites, from brunch-friendly waffles to scrumptious Japanese rice!

Eggs Benedict on English muffin getting just a little too done? The Bites folks understand, and have unleashed the best of the brunch world: Eggs Benedict Waffles (RM17.90)! A pair of perfectly poached eggs on warm, fluffy waffles, rounded up with good ol’ Hollaindaise! A side salad gives the dish just the refreshing touch it needs =)

We’re a fan of waffles, all right, and could NOT resist the evil ways of the Fried Chicken Waffle Sandwich (RM12.90). The batter on that fried chicken is unreal! The gooey coleslaw, crisp chicken, and fluffy waffles make for the perfect mix of textures and flavours.

The spectacular Omurice with Chicken Katsu (RM18.90) makes it impossible not to fall in love with it! Imagine tucking into a platter of tomato-tinged rice with a side of thick Japanese curry, topped with a fab piece of fried chicken and a fat piece of fluffy omelette!

The Japanese influence continues with the Teriyaki Chicken Pasta (RM16.90). The chicken is just perfectly-flavoured and is melt-in-your-mouth tender, making it the perfect accompaniment to a plate of spaghetti tossed with Shimeji mushrooms and snow peas.

For a slightly Malaysian twist on an Italian favourite, the Shrimp & Dried Shrimp Aglio Olio (RM16.90) is your best bet. The spiciness from the cili padi and chilli flakes really brings this classic pasta dish alive! We relished the fact that the dish is served complete with the most flavour-packed part of the shrimp: its head!

End the meal on a sweet note with a Banana Nutella Pizza (RM12.90); biscuity crusty pizza topped with everyone’s favourite hazelnut spread and banana and strawberries.

If a coffee-based dessert is what you had in mind, the Affogato With Crushed Cranberry Almond Biscotti (RM11.90) is just what you need. Ice cream choices include vanilla, pandan kaya, and coconut!

If it’s just a chocolatey cup of coffee you need, try the hot Mocha (RM11.90). A strong whiff of rich chocolate hits you the moment the steaming cup is set on your table, which is all the sign you need to realise the delicious, decadent treat you’re about to indulge in.
